Let the Flames begin.Ugh. What was the point of this place? To sit around and do nothing? Hayley sat on the ground, legs crossed under her, a novel resting in her lap. She was exactly sure what it was. She was trying to amuse herself. Not working. Never try to amuse yourself in a place like that. Doesn't work out very well. Hayley slammed the book closed and chucked it across the room. She pulled her knees up to her chest, and rested her chin on her knees.

Logan was on his way down to the Common to see if anyone else had gotten there since he was sent to his room. He had actually been wandering the hallways, but no one ever checked in on him anyway. He heard a book slam, followed quickly by the sound of it being thrown. He'd thrown enough things to know the exact noise. He sped up, hoping he would catch a fight breaking out, but was disappointed when no one in the Common was shouting or moving violently.
He looked at the ground where the book was and looked back across the room to see a new girl there, knees folded at her chest. She was deathly skinny, a sure bet to be here for some idiotic eating disorder. Or maybe she just looked that way. He couldn't be sure, especially with her throwing things all over the place. He went over to pick the book up. Socializing was not something he was known for, but this girl was pretty. He figured he'd hit on her...just a little bit. After crossing back over the room, he sat in the chair next to her.
"Did you throw this?" he asked, a small laugh in his voice.

Let the Flames begin.Hayley looked up, a suprised look covering her pale face. "Uh.. Yeah. Sorry if I disturbed you or anything." She studied his face. Cute. For someone who was in a mental hospital. "I'm Hayley by the way." She removed her legs from in front of her tiny body and crossed them under her again. She coughed slightly, covering her mouth quickly. "And you are....?" She tilted her head to the side, waiting for his reply.

"Logan," he said, sticking his hand out for her to shake. In his opinion, it was really the only offical way to meet someone. He sucked his bottom lip into his mouth when she touched him, something he did whenever someone new gave him physical contact. After chewing a bit on the two rings that circulated it, he released his lip and her hand.
"So was the throwing of the book suppose to be at someone, or did you really just hate what you were reading?"

Let the Flames begin. She grinned at him as she shook his hand. "Well.. I wasn't really reading.. I was trying to amuse myself. It didn't work well.." She frowned, slightly and shook her head. "Are we allowed to smoke in here?" She really wanted a cigarette. Not need. She wasn't adicted. Without waiting for his reply, she took a cigarette from the pack sitting next to her and removed a lighter from her back pocket. She stuck the filter between her pale lips, lit it quickly, and took a long drag. She blew the smoke out of the corner of her mouth and looked at him.

He watched her take out the cigarette before he could even reply and smiled to himself. This girl broke the rules, this girl was badass and hardcore. Now this girl got him craving a cigarette as she blew the smoke out of the corner of her mouth. He loved when girls did that.
"They don't like it," he said. "I get sent away a lot for lighting up in here. A lot of the employees smoke in the stairwell. We're suppose to earn going outside to smoke, but it's like, whatever, you know?" He took his own pack from his back pocket and withdrew a single cigarette. "If you would've waited for my answer, I would've offered you one. Could I borrow your lighter? They took mine."

Let the Flames begin. She grinned at him, watching him take out a cigarette. "Well, that's crap. I don't want to earn smoking cigarettes." She rolled her eyes. Stupid worker people. "Well, I'll keep that in mind next time." She flashed a quick grin at him and withdrew her lighter from her back pocket again. She tossed it into his lap, taking another long drag on her cigarette. She blew the smoke out of the corner of her mouth again. Bad habit she had, never really wanted to break. It was just how she did things.

"Thanks," he picked up the lighter from his lap after he failed to catch it and lit his cigarette. He held the lighter while he took his first drag and let out the smoke in a sigh. It had been five hours since his last, which was like a lifetime to him. He handed it back to her with the same hand his cigarette was in, being careful not to drop it on her. He wondered if she would be numb to it. He'd burned himself with butts a couple times, but kind of built up a tolerance.
"So what did they bust you on, anyway?" he asked after taking another drag. He flicked his cigarette and the ashes dropped to the ground.

Let the Flames begin."Welcome." She took the lighter out of his hand and setting it down by her pack of cigarettes. She didn't wannt to have to keep getting it out. She flicked her cigarette, causing ashes to land on the ground in front of her. She broke them apart with her index finger, boredly. She looked up at him, wiping her finger on the bottom of her jeans, trying to get the ashes of her finger. "Anorexia." She said, with a slight shrug. "What did a nice boy like you get put in here for?" She said, a smirk forming on her lips.

"Nice?" he laughed. "Honey, you got it all wrong." He slumped back in the chair and put the cigarette between his lips, inhaling deeply. Then he closed his eyes and exhaled. "Random shit, you know? Drug addiction, trafficking. It's a real big deal that I didn't get sent to jail. I think they said something about me being a victim. Bullshit, right? I'm stuck in this joint for at least three months, I've been told."
He shook his head. It had already been a week, and that had dragged on. The three months was if he was on his 'best behavior,' which he hadn't been. Not at all. The bordem had been killing him, but maybe Hayley was someone he could chill with, and relax around.

Let the Flames begin."Aww. I think your nice." Hayley said, a slight grin on her face. "Aw. Well, they haven't busted me for drugs. Don't do 'em that often though." Hayley took a long drag on her cigarette and blew out the smoke slowly. She put her cigarette out on the carpet, burning the carpet a little bit. "The only time I ever do is right before a photoshoot if I'm not in a good mood." She bit the corner of her bottom lip and sighed. "Is this place always for god damned boring?" She didn't mean to be as loud as she did. She didn't yell, but it was pretty close to yelling.

Logan watched her put her cigarette out on the carpet and followed her gesture, smiling to himself. He wondered if, when they got out, they'd ever see each other. Getting high was what he liked to do with pretty girls, and even though he was staying here, he had no intention of giving up any of his old life. The day he got out, he was going to call up his drug dealer and his customers and have a little bit of a celebration. That's what he looked forward to.
"Photoshoots?" his face turned to a puzzled expression. "You some kind of model or something?"

Let the Flames begin."Yeah. Well, aspiring model." She frowned slightly thinking about it. "I was doing pretty good, but then one day during a photoshoot I collapsed. And it all went poof." She hummed a random song, quietly to herself and looked at him thoughtfully her head tilted to one side and smiled to herself. She boredly puffed up her cheeks, like a puffer fish and blew the air out of her cheeks, making it make a 'pooh' sound.

"Well, yeah, cause don't they, like, ban you or whatever?" he sat forward in his chair, getting closer to Hayley. "I mean, like on America's Next Top Model and shit they always talk about eating disorders. Don't they? I tune in and out." He smiled, showing his straight, white teeth. While padding out a rhythm on the floor with his bare feet, he stratched the ear that was infected because of the shitty piercing job his friend had done. He couldn't clean it, not now anyway. The cleaning solution could cause "physical harm" if swallowed. He tried to tell the nurses for the billionth time that he wasn't suicidal, but they didn't believe him.

Let the Flames begin."Yeah. Well, they don't ban you.. But they might as well. It's really hard to get a job if you had Anorexia. Or Bulimia." She sighed and continued "So pretty much I have to find something new to do." She smiled at him, laughing slightly. She crinkled her nose and flipped her hair over her shoulder. Deciding that her hair was annoying her, she pulled a hair tie off her wrist and pulled her hair into a pony tail that was slightly off center. She made a 'Grr.' face and uncrossed her legs. She stretched them out in front of her and sighed, boredly.
