Abigail lied on her bed, staring at the stark white ceiling that seemed to close in on her the more she stared. It had been two days since her parents abandoned her at St. Mary's and her anger was only building each day.
Since her arrival, Abigail had only left her room three times. Once for a tour of the hospital, once for dinner, and once to use the bathroom. Otherwise, she remained isolated in her room. Luckily, she had not been assigned a roommate yet, so she could enjoy her privacy. However, by late afternoon, the silence was becoming her enemy rather than her friend. She was left alone with the voices frightening in her head and nothing to distract her.
