Lydalian Asylum
In the early 1700’s there existed a rich man named Fenri with three sons who were all crazily talented. They were known as the Sachem family and they lived in a large mansion in Britain. No one dared to oppose them; not that they did any wrong anyway. No one talked to them either as the sons were not as kind as their father... The eldest son, being the most arrogant and spiteful of the three, decided to leave his father and go join a prison as an executioner. Fenri was displeased with his son’s poor judgement and only hoped the remaining two would be useful.
Jaenis, the second son, stayed with his father and his younger brother until the age of 27 before moving away to France to open a bakery where he would sell his delicious crumpets. He gloated to his father of his success but often put in his letters that people seemed to dislike him quite a bit. Fenri explained to him that being big-headed was not wise. Jaenis became angered and hoped his father would fall ill in response.
Fenri became worried about his remaining son who was in love with pride. Lydalian was infatuated with himself but was not as bad as the other two. He was passionate about helping people of course but he expected fame from it. So, he moved a short distance from his father and opened Lydalian Asylum for youths 14 years of age to 21. Immediately people were sent there with all sorts illnesses. Lydalian felt himself a bit overwhelmed and hired double the amount of staff. The staff was not fond of how many patients there were and began secretly taking them into the forest and leaving them to die. Naturally, Lydalian took no heed to these happenings for a long while.
Eventually, one worried doctor, afraid to be caught, talked to Lydalian with desperate cries and explained about everything. Enraged, he kicked out all the staff and rehired a new bunch to replace all the others who were taken and hung by his very elder brother. He was not pleased at all. Things finally calmed down after a while until there was a knock at the asylum door. It turned out being Jaenis who bore with him a letter claiming the death of their father. The second son blamed himself and wore his mind into a state of deep depression. Now Lydalian was treating his brother as well. The money that was given to the youngest of the sons was a large amount in which he used to make the asylum much more rich looking. It was also decided the youngest boy of each generation was to take over the asylum.
Now, in 2008, a 27 year old male by the name of Slettic Crusaye has become the new owner of Lydalian and he plans to make changes. He swaps in the staff for a whole new one just as others before him have done. There’s a bit of a problem though. Slettic is just as oblivious as Lydalian was. Could things possibly be going about under his nose?
